Through Miss Universe, Ana Benaroya transposes her expressive and colorful universe into an unprecedented sculptural work: a solid silver jewel set with sapphires, designed as a miniature sculpture to be worn. Inspired by the silhouette of a bodybuilder, the piece unfolds a powerful, taut body with prominent muscles and a mythological presence. The nipples, delicately set with sapphires, become points of light, highlighting both the sensuality and strength of this figure.

Here, a woman’s body is evoked through classical Greek sculpture, a symbol of perfection and balance, but also through popular culture—action figures, superheroines, and athletes that have populated Benaroya’s imagination since childhood. Between classical ideals and contemporary aesthetics, the artist reinvents a woman’s body as an autonomous entity, free from a judgemental gaze. By subverting the codes of traditional jewelry, Ana Benaroya transforms the jewel into a visual manifesto. Silver becomes flesh, metal expresses strength, and the gemstone emphasizes the vitality of the body. This work embodies the artist’s ongoing mission: to give women’s bodies their own voice, their own power, and to place them at the center of the artistic space—both as a subject of desire and beauty and as the authors of their own worlds.
